Write to us. A person reads it.
Last updated 7 October 2026
Every message to Tend is read by a person, not a ticketing system.
We read everything and answer within a few days. Below are the questions that come up most.
Write to us
If something isn’t working, it helps to know:
What you were doing, and what happened instead
Your iPhone model and iOS version
Tend’s version — it’s at the foot of Settings → About Tend
A screenshot, if there’s something to see
Please don’t paste in anything you’ve written in Tend unless you want us to read it. We can’t see it otherwise, and we don’t need to.
My reminders aren’t arriving
Check that notifications are allowed in iOS Settings → Notifications → Tend, and that a Focus mode isn’t holding them back. You can change when they arrive in Tend under Settings → App Settings.
My calendar events aren’t showing
Tend can read your day two ways, and you can use either or both. Both are in Settings → App Settings.
The calendar on your iPhone. Make sure Tend has access in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars → Tend, set to Full Access. Any account you’ve added to your iPhone — iCloud, Google, Outlook — comes through this way.
Google Calendar. Connect it directly if your events live in Google and that account isn’t on your iPhone. Tend shows the calendars you’ve ticked in Google Calendar. If an event comes through both ways, Tend shows it once.
If App Settings says Google has stopped sharing your calendar, tap Reconnect. While Tend is in beta, Google asks for this about once a week. And if Google won’t let you connect at all during the beta, write to us — your Google address has to be added to the beta first.
How do I change my stones?
Settings → App Settings → What’s in your well. Tap a stone on the home screen to see its week and what it’s for.
I missed a few days
Nothing breaks. There are no streaks to lose. Open Tend whenever you’re ready and carry on from there.
Can I move my writing to a new phone?
Tend doesn’t sync — there’s no server for it to sync to. Before you change phones, export a copy from Settings → Your data, so your writing is safe whatever happens. Importing it back in isn’t built yet. The export is there so your writing is never stuck inside the app.
How do I delete everything?
Settings → Your data → Delete everything. It clears what you’ve written, your reminders and Tend’s anonymous install ID, and removes Tend’s access to your Google account if you gave it any.
Deleting the app clears everything on the phone too. To remove Google’s access as well, use Delete everything, or myaccount.google.com/connections.
What does signing in with Apple or Google do?
It fills in your name so you don’t have to type it. That’s all. It doesn’t create an account, and nothing is synced or sent anywhere. Connecting Google Calendar is a separate permission, asked for only if you choose to connect it.
Who can read what I write?
Only you. It never leaves your phone, and neither do your calendar events. The privacy policy sets out exactly what does and doesn’t.
Tend — live more meaningfully.
